Each pair is engineered to withstand up to seven times more impact energy than the ANSI Z87.1+ impact standard requires. This resistance is verified with the MIL-SPEC test protocol, which uses a 0.15 caliber, 5.85 grain fragment simulating projectile (T37) travelling at 700–725 feet per second, striking the lens at a critical point.
